Hey there, I've seen this problem before. The M.2 slot seems to lose connection when you wake up from sleep. Even though everything looks good—games are installed, drivers are updated, and no data loss after a restart—it still happens. No new hardware, just the usual behavior changing. Could be related to power stability or thermal management? I'm curious what might be causing it now.

I haven't encountered this exact problem before, but I'm only becoming aware of it now that sleep mode is being highlighted as a potential source of strange behavior, especially for RAM and storage. It seems Ryzen and compatible boards handle RAM differently (QVL counters confirm this), and I experienced some odd issues—like freezing during sleep and no video after every 8-12 cold boots—with my 5900X/B550 setup. These were resolved by using RAM from the QVL list. However, occasional rainbow cycling of GPU/PCIe ARGB on sleep or shutdown persisted even when set to dark in Amoury Crate. Switching to a full shutdown stopped it, suggesting the issue might be related to Ryzens' handling of sleep mode. The manual for the Asus ROG STRIX B550-F also mentioned a possible PCIe lane-swapping conflict worsened by sleep mode.

I recall a video by Linus about Windows sleep mode, and I’m curious if the logic there could be contributing to the problem. I’ll investigate further!
