Hi, I've recently been having issues with my new pc build crashing. It didn't do this a couple weeks ago. It's a high spec build that I poured a lot into so this is a bit rough. CPU: 7950x3D Motherboard: Asus Rog Strix X670e pro wifi GPU: Asus Tuf 4090 Memory: G.Skill Flares 6000mhz cl32 Storage: 2 Samsung 980 Pros 2tb Power Supply: Seasonic Tx-1600 The only recent changes I've made to my pc is the Asus Vers. 1401 Bios, but I updated that about an hour ago to 1410. Still got another crash like 5 minutes ago rip. Another change I made was a recent RMA of my GPU which is back now. The crashes didn't begin occurring until I reinstalled the GPU. However assuming it was drivers and stuff, last night I performed a clean install. When that didn't work I did a full pc reset and updated everything I could. I'm not good at event viewer but from what I see I get errors about GetCACAps not found, and AMD-KeyId failing. Sorry for the blob of text! Anyone have any ideas on what I can do? Edit: Forgot to mention it's generally under small workloads it crashes. Max settings cod launched, YouTube video, and discord call? No worries. Discord call, YouTube, and - randomly decides to pop a brick. Also scrolling back I have a critical error stating it didn't cleanly shut down. Assuming that's from me turning it off from the psu because the power button refuses to work. Peripheral webcam light still is on during crashes. Edit edit: I have an external UPS from cyber power I've used for a while. I used it with my old pc that I gave to my gf with no issues. it's the 1500va AVR model. Only my pc crashes on it during the issues, not the monitors or my router. But I have seen errors in event viewer saying something about power. Another one saying bios failed to access ec before the bios update too. Seriously sorry for bombarding you guys with random info. Thanks again for reading and maybe helping!

The power switch doesn't work during crashes—it usually lights up an LED when powered but turns off and becomes unresponsive. After turning it back on, the system boots but the LED stays off. I hadn't considered memory issues before, which is why your advice was valuable. It's reassuring to get a second perspective on this. I'm still cautious about the problem and was considering resetting Windows due to concerns about corruption. I just wanted to share an update: It seems ASUS BIOS is the main reason for these crashes. In my event viewer it says the embedded controller didn’t respond in time, which could mean hardware or firmware issues with the EC or BIOS errors. You might want to contact your computer maker for a BIOS upgrade. This problem can happen in different ways—earlier crashes were more frequent after the Vers.1401 update, but after 1410 it’s less common, dropping from 0-3 crashes per hour to 0-2 daily. As of now, this is the latest ASUS BIOS release. I haven’t heard any more about the old crash reports since that help post. The AMD Windows bugs are gone, so now it’s just these questionable ASUS updates. Hope my warranty stays valid.
