I'm looking at this situation. I have a large GPU bump far from anyone with similar specs and lower than 1660 (my friend using 3200Mhz). He mentioned no microstutter, possibly due to RAM. I'm considering Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3200MHz or Gskill TridentZ 3200MHz. My aim is to reduce microstutter and prevent big FPS drops. I checked afterburner results, and they show what should happen. The 3DMark scores are similar to others. Thanks.
Boosting your RAM speed just a bit won’t require a full replacement. A jump from 2666 to 3000+ should still be smooth, and adding +400 MHz won’t cause noticeable issues like stuttering.
