I'm looking at this situation. I have a large GPU bump far from anyone with similar specs and lower than 1660 (my friend using 3200Mhz). He mentioned no microstutter, possibly due to RAM. I'm considering Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3200MHz or Gskill TridentZ 3200MHz. My aim is to reduce microstutter and prevent big FPS drops. I checked afterburner results, and they show what should happen. The 3DMark scores are similar to others. Thanks.

Boosting your RAM speed just a bit won’t require a full replacement. A jump from 2666 to 3000+ should still be smooth, and adding +400 MHz won’t cause noticeable issues like stuttering.

I’m trying to figure this out. I’m completely new to overclocking—never done it before. Locals usually use 3600 plus RTX. They claim 2600 won’t work perfectly with 2060. Ryzen seems to need quick RAM? I’m still unclear about infinity fabric. I’m looking for help with gaming or productivity tips. At first, I thought I had the wrong idea about what this PC is meant for and how to pick hardware. Intel is mainly for gaming, while Ryzen excels at handling multiple tasks thanks to its cores and threads.

Yes, upgrading the RAM can help reduce some microstutter. I improved mine for a game like Space Engineers by increasing from 8GB at 2400Mhz to 16GB at 3200Mhz. However, this game requires 14GB of RAM, which is quite high. I made sure my CPU wasn’t reaching full capacity to avoid stutters first. In terms of choice, both options should work fine. They may have slightly different timing, but the difference is minimal. I’d just pick the one that looks better or is more affordable.

My processor doesn't hit even 100% during gaming sessions like CS:GO and R6S. It usually runs at 50-75% CPU and 50-60% GPU usage. Occasionally it drops to 110%. I was expecting it to reach 140% in the lowest settings. Color Vibrance ("Shiny") Corsair vs Gskill Price (Indonesia). Gskill is $10 more than Corsair.

It's a perfectly fine cpu, but there's always a bottleneck somewhere. Ryzen does depend on faster memory, but you won't be gaining a huge amount from 2666 to 3200.

It looks like a memory upgrade could be beneficial, particularly if you're using a Ryzen processor. Think about whether the additional $10 is justified by the improved appearance of the RAM. Personally, I'd choose Corsair unless your G-Skill option aligns with your build's colors. Note: The microstutters are unusual. I previously set up a system with a Ryzen 5 2400 and 8 GB of 3000 MHz RAM, and no issues have been reported so far.

I noticed some minor stutter during gaming. I’m not getting the performance I hoped for. However, I saw several benchmark videos on YouTube. My CPU maxes around 3.750 MHZ, while yours only hits 3.65 (the highest you’ve seen). I’m still puzzled why my friend gets higher FPS—his setup uses an R5 1600 with 1080 Ti, RAM boosted to 3200 and CPU at 3.8. It seems to work well.

I previously inquired at the big store in Indonesia. Regarding my FPS, it suddenly dropped to low frame rates like spikes after upgrading without modifying my 1060 3GB driver. Then I returned to the store to upgrade to a 550W power supply (my house can't handle 650W). Next, I changed the SSD and performed a fresh installation of all my Windows files. However, the game reinstall didn't fix the issue, so it still stutters randomly. My PC has crashed five times—four times due to electricity and once when the power shut down completely. With a 650W unit, I hope this won't affect my system.

Prior to this upgrade, I had a 1060 with 3GB of RAM. The difference in FPS wasn't noticeable (80-110). I should have checked the performance after the upgrade. Playing with that configuration is tough. Could there be another way to diagnose the issue? Temperature might play a role here.
