This application named "Dimmdrive" launched on the first day of January and appears to be a fake. You can download free ram disk tools. Except for the fact that your games aren't pre-installed with a simple click. It makes sense to those without technical knowledge, but it’s about four steps: make a ram disk, go to Steam, set up the installation folder, and install the game. It’s a waste of money. I found it ridiculous. Most people unfamiliar with tech will struggle, but it’s clearly aimed at beginners who don’t understand what a ram disk is. If they even knew the term, it would have been better called something like "Ramdrive." They don’t even grasp how RAM functions. Most laptops and budget gaming machines (those without a GPU, sold at places like Future Shop or Worstbuy) come with only 8GB. Installing a game that uses 7GB would be pointless, and users would quickly complain online. Just checking the title—something like "Gaming Ramdrive @ 10,000+ MB/s" is absurd. Most folks won’t reach even 10GB/s, and they wouldn’t expect that performance. The claim is misleading; RAM speeds are measured in gigabits per second, not arbitrary numbers. They clearly targeted beginners with no idea about RAM and are making a profit from it. I’m here to share my thoughts, so feel free to call me out if you agree.

I received 10gb/s. Dimmdrive automatically loads the game into RAM when needed. Installing a regular RAM disk is too complicated to set up, manage and mount.

It means some people don't realize that 5% exist who don't need to purchase like kangaroos. Instead, they should use tech-savvy methods and tools such as Asus RAM disk checks to assess performance. Hens showed that DIMM disk buyers are often tech-minded individuals.

Only if everyone had 64GB of RAM would it really matter.

Wow, I managed to save over 15 seconds by spending $30 on a ramdisk. Not great. Unless I'm building a $6,000 setup with 64GB+ RAM and need super-fast loading (then I'd probably upgrade to SSDs for the same quick results). That's a huge waste of money.
