Ram, XMP and Voltage
Ram, XMP and Voltage
I sorted through the configurations. The situation matches what was seen in XMP Profile 1. The BF5 lag remains. Now using a 2400MHz Jedec card with BIOS set to its default optimization.
Okay so update on the situation after many test. I disabled XMP, change manually to 3200mhz in BIOS, adjusted main timings as per the SPD read out from Thaiphoon Burner, manually put 1.35V for DIMM Voltage, lastly using 2T command rate instead of 1T and the rest are on auto. Sub-timing is also auto. Results: no more stutter in BF5.
I mentioned things too early. The current setup causes BF5 CTD and other issues. I’m running at 3000mhz with frequencies 15, 17, 17, 36 at 1.35V and CR 1T. Could it be I got a bad RAM module? Would staying in this configuration hurt performance much? Here’s a screenshot of Aida64 Extreme.
