The RAM won't fit because it's DDR4, but it doesn't matter how many times or where you try placing it—it just can't go in.

I think the system runs on DDR4, but it might be the motherboard I don’t recognize. You could have recently installed new RAM and a new motherboard.

I'm using a standard desktop motherboard. Make sure it's not a laptop's SODIMM memory.

It seems there are just two possible options. You have to choose between them. If you can't make it work and you're confident everything matches, then you might be making a mistake.

What kind of motherboard and RAM are you employing? Make sure both connectors in the slots are fully open. After inserting, they should snap securely together.
