You have the option, though performance is limited by your CPU's capabilities, capped at around 2400MHz. There’s no method to surpass that limit.

For Intel systems, use a Z or X chipset board to exceed the CPU's maximum supported frequency. Memory performance may drop below specifications.

Make sure your system has the necessary components to handle those rates. Just turn on XMP inside your BIOS settings. Right now it won’t function at 3000mhz because your CPU caps performance to 2400mhz.

There is no difference in price between 2400 mhz and 3000 mhz. I chose to test the higher one if it was available. Yes, they should function at 2400 mhz.
