I've faced this problem before and it caused me a lot of worry. My RAM was at full capacity and nothing unusual appeared in the task manager. Earlier advice suggested removing anti-virus, which helped temporarily but the issue returned. I'm unsure what's causing it now and want to resolve it. I've attached some screenshots of the task manager and noticed a high number of hard faults per second—well above normal. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Lochey

It seems there’s no free space left. A poor setup might be the issue.

Have you attempted to take out the RAM modules and reinstall them? It helped me when I faced this issue.

I’ll remove the RAM and check if it works. Then I’ll perform a system wipe. I’m sure the RAM was installed properly since I followed the motherboard manual and the computer confirmed 16 units are present.

Knowing more really helps! The new RAM installation actually improved performance, and I’m confident it was placed properly. Now my CPU is running smoothly, and I feel prepared for any future issues! Thanks everyone!

Shutting down and restarting the system would produce the same outcome. Deleting RAM didn’t help since the system still saw 16GB (that’s what you have). It seems a big swap file, temp or write file might be consuming your RAM resources. No process was linked to your memory usage.

I experienced an issue due to a cold start, removed it and reinserted it—this resolved the problem. It has been running for 15 minutes now and hasn’t returned. Thanks for your help!

DDR3 RAM is temporary storage, turn off the power (cold start) and the data inside disappears. Any issues with your modules likely haven’t fully set yet.

It depends on what you mean by "cold boot." If it refers to restarting your device, yes, a cold boot can refresh the system. If it's about software or hardware issues, check for updates or troubleshoot accordingly.
