Hey, I've been waiting a long time for a solution. I'm using a B450 Aorus Pro, Ryzen 5 2600X, and two 8GB DDR4 3600MHz Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM sticks. The memory seems really shaky—it crashes when I hit 12GB out of 16GB, which is making things super frustrating. My OBS keeps crashing during streams and some games won't boot at all (especially SCP: Secret Laboratory). I ran MemTest86 and it found a lot of errors. Any suggestions? Thanks! Also, the system is only about six months old.

Hi there, Your response matched your own. The Zen+ sweet spot lies between 3000-3200MHz, but going higher can actually harm performance, particularly in gaming.

Consider checking if one of your RAM modules is faulty. Remove a stick, test it using memtest86, and if it runs cleanly, try the other stick.

Are you testing them in slots 2 and 4? What kind of XMP configurations and voltage levels are you applying?

Also the usual make sure the ram is seated properly, etc. Corsair is pretty decent RAM but you might have gotten unlucky. For reference I ran memtest86 the other night for a little over 12 hours, no errors on 64GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200.

Above 3200MHz causes more problems, especially with slots A2 and B2. The 3600Mhz Corsair vengeance rgb pro uses a CL18 chipset. Mostly SK Hynix chips are used, but they aren't ideal for Zen+ builds. Many users face issues with LPX setting XMP timings. The board also isn't optimal for memory overclocking. The B450 Aorus pro supports DDR4 modules at speeds like 2933/2667/2400/2133 MHz.

The Ryzen 2000 series memory controller struggles with high-speed RAM and may not handle frequencies above 3200. Consider using a lower frequency and tighter timings. Use the Ryzen RAM calculator and experiment with settings.
