I checked the gigabyte website—it seemed pointless. Next, I visited G.Skill’s page, and their level matched theirs.

Sure, I understand. It seems the information you need might be on a different page, and the site you mentioned doesn't include Gigabyte MOBAs in its QVL listings.

I was lying in bed checking my phone, thinking about the 16GB option instead of the 32GB one.

This QVL details the specifications for your motherboard. For best results, consider using Samsung B-Dies due to compatibility. You can locate these B-Die rams via the provided link. Generally, boosting RAM is straightforward and reliable as long as you don’t exceed safe limits. I’m currently running an i9 9900K with a GSKILL Trident Z 3600 RGB 8x2, which has a CAS rating of 17 at 3600MHz and 1.35V. I pushed it up to 4000MHz without issues after overclocking. (Completed a one-hour memory test afterward.) My plan is: 1) pick a B-Die from the list, 2) attempt the overclock, 3) expect some instability at around 3200MHz. The manufacturer wants to avoid wasting time on unnecessary guidance and expects you to handle the process yourself. I’ve spent about 20 minutes watching YouTube tutorials to grasp the steps.

Yeah, I’m totally clueless, but I managed to get a bit of it. If I can, then you can too!

You're asking if you're seeing the correct specifications for your motherboard. Yes, it's accurate—your board supports 64GB RAM with only a single 32GB module, which is standard. The confusion about QVL and memory types comes from different configurations. Regarding the B-Die, it's not a Samsung product but a type of Samsung memory. Corsair is listed because they manufacture compatible modules. The voltage warning from PC Part Picker highlights a compatibility issue with your CPU, suggesting the module might need adjustment. It seems there could be a mismatch between the recommended voltage and your system's requirements.

Sorry man, I usually don’t work with gigabyte boards, but I can try helping with the QVL stuff. The 1.5v is fine for the RAM, though I’ve kept it under 1.645v most of the time—after that the voltage changes from pink to red.

well corsair is not a manufacturer of rams. They use samung, micron or hynix rams and slap their stickers on them. Samsung b-dies are the special rams known for stable overclocking compared to other rams. Here is my recommendation for your mobo https://www.gskill.com/product/165/168/1...B-(4x16GB) This ram is compatible with your mobo. I think 1.5v is really pushing it. If a ram is rated at 1.35v, the most you should push is 1.4v. Beyond this, the temperature goes out of control. Moreover, the PCB starts bending at ~85C. This is why many overclocked CPUs are slightly bent inwards since overclockers like to push their hardware's thermal limits for long periods at a time like stress testing. Stick to the rams on QVL. T he G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3800 CL14 is not listed on there so it is highly inadvisable to buy this. You could be lucky and get this to work but at 3600+ speed, the gain is quite minimal so stability is more important imo.

You asked how the information was verified. The document linked shows the memory type but not the RAM itself. It seems you meant CPU or motherboard specifications rather than RAM. To check a RAM's voltage or component specs, refer to the manufacturer's datasheet or the official product page for the exact model.

G.Skill offers Samsung chips with a 3800 14-15-15-35 1T 1.5v package on the label. Just a slight adjustment of air should resolve any issues. I noticed another RAM set from Oloy rated at 2000 14-15-15-35 1T 1.55v; I almost considered it but my current RAM already matches those speeds, though in a 4x8 configuration. They were 2x8 kits. Hope you can get four running smoothly at that rate—impressive if you do! Anyone else who’s tried would be impressed too.
