Hello, your Gigabyte B450 Aorus M has been upgraded to an ASUS TUF Gaming B550M Plus because of audio problems. On the last motherboard you could XMP the RAM to 3200MHz and it functioned properly. Now it’s set to 2133 (auto), but when you try to change it back to 3200MHz and save the changes, your PC shuts down three times before displaying a failure message and asking to revert to auto speed. It seems the issue might be related to voltage settings—your current configuration is set to 1.2V.

You just altered the DRAM speed? Make sure XMP is activated on the ASUS B550 board as well. ASUS refers to it as DOCP, not XMP.

Are you asking about the exact single-channel speed or something else? (It seems Single Channel isn't the correct term.)

The documentation explains how effective memory speed works. It clarifies that there isn't a single-channel, dual-channel, or quad-channel setting—like DDR4-3200. The actual frequency is 1600 MHz, but the effective speed reaches 3200 MHz because DDR RAM transmits two data signals per clock cycle. You should identify the CPU model and the BIOS version installed on your B550 motherboard. XMP settings typically adjust the DRAM voltage automatically; most DDR4-3000+ chips use 1.35V with XMP enabled. Increasing the CPU's SOC voltage to around 1.10V might help stabilize the RAM. The default setting is usually between 0.95V and 1.05V.

On a Ryzen 5 3600, I used the guide to turn on DOCP, but instead of getting D.O.C.P it showed D.O.C.P. The BIOS version is 0603 x64.

Ok , so I updated the bios to last version 1004 , problem still persists , the 3 shut downs followed by the bios error (The system has posted in safe mode. This may be due to the previous post attempt failing ...)and me needing to go back to switch to auto , tried enabling the DOCP , does the same thing , the settings DOCP does are : Ai Overclock Tuner Auto -> D.O.C.P memory frequency Auto -> 3200 DRAM CAS# Latency Auto ->16 trcdrd Auto ->18 trcdwr Auto ->18 DRAM RAS# PRE Time Auto ->18 DRAM RAS# ACT Time Auto ->36 DRAM Voltage Auto ->1.35000 the setting i had on the D.O.C.P was D.O.C.P DDR4-3200 16-18-18-36-1.35V

Did you place the memory in slots 2 and 4, not near the CPU? Also consider adjusting the memory swapping settings. Another approach might be to re-seat the CPU. It's surprising how small adjustments can lead to problems.
