I have a query. Two days back I received a new build: MSI B450 MAX GAMING PLUSS, RTX 2060 SUPER, RYZEN 5 3600 and a Corsair CV550. I didn’t upgrade my RAM since I already have 16GB DDR4 at 2400MHz. Is it beneficial to move from 2400 to 3200 or 3600?
A minor boost in performance would occur in certain games. But it doesn't justify the cost unless those extra frames significantly improve your experience.
It comes down to what you require. If you're getting enough speed that meets your expectations, it won't add value. In fact, you can boost the FCLK to 1800MHz while keeping the existing RAM speeds, which will improve CPU performance without needing a RAM upgrade.
