Hi guys, I'm about to build a new computer and I just found that issue of compatibility among parts. Where I live(Peru), there isn't a variety of parts especially memory and is quite expensive too. I found this Corsair kit ( CMK32GX4M2B3200C16), and I would appreciate if any of you have it in Ryzen (7 3700X) setup and tell me if it works fine or what it is neccesary to tweak in order to make it do so.

Essentially, nearly every RAM model is compatible with any CPU, provided it fits into an DDR4 slot.

It should function perfectly. A 3200MHz frequency is excellent. Make sure you enable XMP or the similar setting in the BIOS to avoid it defaulting to 2133MHz. I made that error before and will never repeat it.

Verify the QVL of the motherboard to ensure compatibility with your RAM. I've experienced issues with Corsair memory on AMD boards before. P.S. The main adjustment needed is enabling XMP/DOCP.

Skip the QVL list altogether; it usually functions fine. In the worst case, you might need a bit of adjustment, but that's about it. Just enable XMP for the main part.

With the 500 series chipset, there shouldn't be any issues, I believe

I didn’t locate a perfect match, but there are options with similar specs. The first has SPD latency 15-15-15-36 and speed 2133MHz, while the second lists latency 18-18-18-43 at 2666MHz. Turning on XMP is possible depending on your device.

The QVL covers the parts they checked, which might mean this set should function smoothly or cause problems. Which motherboard are you planning to use?

This situation is quite perplexing these days. Back then, people weren’t as concerned about compatibility. The MB will be a Strix x570-e, and the documentation mentions 3200Mhz RAM, though the QVL isn’t supported. Appreciate the assistance!

I don’t own that exact RAM kit, but I’m using a Corsair RGB pro CL16 with a Ryzen 3700X. It runs smoothly if you adjust the DOCP in BIOS. Make sure you manually set the DRAM voltage—based on my experience with Ryzen, leaving it on auto often causes issues.
