Hello! You're on the right track with your build. Yes, RAM definitely matters for stability and performance. After what you've experienced with your Ryzen 3600, having enough memory helps prevent issues like blue screens or crashes. For your future upgrade to a Ryzen 5800, keeping good RAM will still be important. If you're using the B550 Elite V2 or R9 270X GPU, they work well together, but make sure your RAM matches the system's specifications. As for Corsair LX 3000 memory, it’s a solid choice if you need reliable performance. Just check compatibility and stick to reputable brands.

3000mhz works well, 3600mhz is considered ideal before performance drops after each step. The Ryzen 3000 and 5000 lines handle RAM nicely, and Corsair LXP offers excellent memory options. I chose the Patriot Viper Steel series, which performed well too. It was a bit more affordable at 3600mhz when I purchased it. Setup should be simple—usually the system restarts once after the first boot. Open BIOS, choose DOCP, pick the 3000mhz profile, and it should launch immediately. Most stability problems from the 1+2000 series have been resolved with recent BIOS updates, and there are few 3000-series issues now since they fixed the infinity fabric problems that affected earlier models.

Based on my understanding, Ryzen processors aren't overly strict, so opting for a dual-channel setup with high-frequency support is a smart choice.

Only certain bins and brands are suited for maximum overclocking gains. For everyday use, opt for ready-made memory that maintains its advertised speed consistently. A slight difference in CAS latency is acceptable. It's wise to invest in fast RAM now, then downclock it later if needed. If switching to a 5800x, consider an X570 board. You can stick with X470 as long as the BIOS is current (2x8 Dual Channel). Around 16GB at 3600MHz usually suffices before noticeable performance drops occur.

Thanks, I’ll likely just verify the RAM first. If there are issues, I’ll consider selling the current one and purchasing a new one. I might find a Corsair RGB RAM model CMW16GX4M2D3600C18 for 70 euros.

I've noticed this in CPU bottleneck scenarios—fast RAM can boost GPU performance and stabilize FPS. It might not be achievable yet, but I’d love to own a 3080 if it becomes available around 2030.

You're questioning the suggestion because he already owns a B550.

Was das wirklich 550? Ich habe 450 gelesen. Entschuldigung.
