RAM Problems
I owned an MSI motherboard with an I7-6700k processor and four 4 GB DDR4 RAM sticks. I recently replaced some parts and stopped using these three items. Later, I lent them to a friend to help improve his PC. He kept everything except the hard drive, graphics card, and power supply unit. His specs included a GTX 960 I7-6700k, a 2TB HDD, a 650W PSU, and 16 GB of RAM (four sticks). We upgraded the case, and when he returned home, the computer wouldn’t start. After checking everything carefully, it was the RAM that failed—only one stick worked properly. I asked him to test each RAM individually to rule out damage during installation or transfer. The Ethernet connection also didn’t work. I’m not sure what caused it, but all components functioned well when I had them. If you have any suggestions, I’d really appreciate it! Problem resolved—one stick was defective. Edited December 25, 2019 by Swiftblade131 Found the issue!
