I don't understand that chart, priority one, two with some filled in and others empty. I assumed it was A1 and B2 because it looked like only one was filled.

It determines the order in which RAM slots are scanned for availability. For two sticks, place them in the top priority slots on each channel. With four sticks, distribute them across the second and fourth slots starting from the CPU.
