Ram performance drops post Windows 10 update. Assistance required.
Last week I installed Windows and assumed a power outage occurred. Since then, my RAM doesn't reach the desired 3200MHz. On startup it displays an error about overclocking failure. After resetting BIOS to defaults, it only runs at 2400MHz. XMP works but requires DRAM Frequency set to automatic. Windows shows 2400MHz when it's set, but changing it to 3200 causes the system to refuse booting. I've reset BIOS, reinserted RAM, and updated BIOS already. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks!
I’ve already adjusted my bios to the newest configurations and applied the irreversible XMP settings. Even when I manually set it to 3200, I still encounter an overclock warning. That’s quite unusual. Appreciate your feedback.
I see, I adjusted the settings in the motherboard BIOS and updated it to the latest version. The issue remains unchanged—XMP auto works but only limits RAM to 2400 MHz, while attempting full-speed operation triggers an overclock failure and prevents booting.
