RAM Overclocking Failure
RAM Overclocking Failure
I purchased a new RAM kit for my PC, specifically the G.skill F3-1600C9D-16GXM. After installation, the system initially ran at 1333MHz but failed to boot after overclocking in BIOS. The error message was: 'The system has experienced boot failure because of overclocking.' I need advice on how to proceed.
Do you possess the most recent BIOS version?
Which expansion slots were used for the RAM installation?
Were the DRAM frequency, timing, and voltage settings configured correctly?
Modules need to be placed in the farthest slots from the CPU. Did you turn on XMP or set the DRAM to 1600?
Did you attempt one module at a time to determine stability at 1600? Manually checked DDR3-1333 8-8-8-24 1.50V and observed stability.
