You can also move Windows from an external hard drive to an SSD using cloning tools like Macrium Reflect, which has a free version available. Before proceeding, consider removing certain games or freeing up disk space so that the total usage on the hard drive is under the new SSD size. Afterward, the software will copy the hard drive contents to the SSD and you’ll simply adjust the boot order from BIOS to boot from SSD instead of the hard drive.
