It began when I discovered half of my 16GB RAM was reserved by the hardware. I searched for fixes but found little success, so I checked the BIOS settings. My RAM speed was listed at 2133MHz, though it should have been 3000MHz. A friend suggested this might be why the RAM was being restricted. I tried boosting the XMP setting to 2, but it damaged my system and required a CMOS reset. I also updated the BIOS and rearranged the RAM slots without success. If you know of a better solution, please share—it would help me get back to my full 16GB of RAM.

This setting in Windows helps reserve RAM during startup. By default, it might lock a large portion of memory unnecessarily. To adjust this, hold the Windows key and press R. In the Run dialog, type msconfig and press Enter. Open the System Configuration window. Navigate to the Boot tab. Choose your operating system from the options if available. Click on Advanced Options. Uncheck the box next to Maximum memory. Click OK.

Regarding the memory speed, I haven't experimented with Zen-based AMD purchases from the forums I've checked. It seems memory tends to be more sensitive compared to Intel systems. You might be able to adjust your RAM's clock speed manually.

You can adjust your RAM's clock speed by accessing the BIOS settings or using manufacturer-specific tools. Consult your device's manual for precise steps.

The system caps at 4100MB of RAM usage, even though it has a total limit of 16000MB.

Check RAM timings in BIOS settings. Search for YouTube tutorials about your motherboard and RAM tuning to see potential improvements.
