So, I recently bought my new PC, Ryzen 5 1600, Asus Prime B350 Plus along with a pair of G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4 (F4-3200C16D-16GVKB). Everybody who recommended me this build, said I really should OC the ram and many others the CPU too.
Here is my problem. I am new to the whole OC thing. After some attemps I did manage to OC my ryzen to 3.7 -3.8 which came up to be pretty easy.
What I can't seem to do is OC my ram, AT ALL. By default, my mobo reads them at 2133mHz and every oc attempt fails. At 2666 mhz my system won't boot at all. At all other speeds except 2133 I get the OC Failed screen.
A friend with the same set up (Ryzen 1700 though) managed to oc the same pair of ram to 3200 at once.
What can I do? Everybody saying it is weird and that I should wait for the agesa update but am not really optimistic about it.
PS 1. I am aware that my ram is not at the QVL list of asus right now, although the 8gb version is (but according to qvl can't go over 2133mhz)
PS 2. I am running the latest BIOS update 6013.
Thanks for your time!

Vader23 shared some tips for Seanie280672 about adjusting CPU voltage settings. They mentioned increasing the voltage slightly and noted that higher values caused issues, suggesting a more gradual increase. The user also pointed out difficulty setting certain voltages and referenced an upcoming BIOS update expected in a week or two.

Do you have the latest bios edition flashed?
I'm not familiar with your exact bios, but there will be other settings other than just adjusting the multiplier or manually setting speed.
In some bios, on the page for adjusting ram are switches for interleaving etc probably 2 or 3 of them. You can try setting them to enabled instead of auto. Also, under the advanced? Tab, there will be a setting for dram voltage, it'll be set to auto, but you should change this and manually set dram voltage to 1.36v.
This is OC, it's going to be some trial and error, you should start by reading the manual and notating anything that's got anything to with the ram.

I noticed that sometimes I dislike this phone, especially at 4 a.m. when I'm still awake, but it doesn't really help. The QVL just indicates it was checked at that speed, not necessarily the fastest possible.

I've noticed many videos and some reviews suggest using the Ryzen Master tool initially to get an approximate estimate. Adjusting the timing was beneficial, and they also performed a software OC test prior to manually applying the same settings in the BIOS, because the software wouldn't boot from saved profiles.

Increase the CPU NB voltage. Certain boards refer to this as setting the CPU SoC voltage to 1.100v and attempt a frequency of 2933mhz.

Seanie280672:
Increase your CPU NB voltage, some boards refer to this as CPU SoC voltage at 1.100v and try for 2933mhz.
Tried it, but it doesn't work—setting it to 1100v only drops it to 0.2000 but the OC fails.
Am I really unlucky with these rams I bought?
What bothers me most is that I can't even set them to 2444 or 2666...
