RAM not working together
I recently purchased another dual channel HyperX 2400 MHz (2x4GB) memory kit. I assumed it would function properly just by connecting it, since it matches the model I already own. However, as soon as I powered on the PC, I heard a long beep followed by two short ones. The screen remained inactive, and the system continued operating without restarting. When I removed the new memory, it worked fine. It also functioned when I took out the old memory or mixed them together in the same dual channel or different channels, but it consistently refused to work with more than two sticks. Through some adjustments and resetting the CMOS by disconnecting the battery and connecting the jumper pins, I gradually added memory sticks one at a time. Once I reached three, inserting the fourth caused it to beep again. I then swapped the third slot with the fourth, and it stopped beeping successfully. It was a frustrating fix, but it finally worked.
