Ram not overclocking
Ram not overclocking
Hi
My Mobo is an MSI a320m pro vd/s. After updating my BIOS to the compatible settings on the MSI website for the Ryzen 3 3100, the ram overclocking or A-XMP feature isn't working. Please assist.
The RAM is 8×2 = 16 GB DDR4 at 3000MHz with Corsair Vengeance LX CL 16-20-20-36.
When reviewing the memory support list for that motherboard across all CPU models, you'll notice that in the "supported speed" column, no entries appear for any 3000mhz memory kits that have been confirmed for that board. Try turning on the A-XMP profile and then adjust the memory speed to 2933mhz manually.
Welcome to the forums, new member!
You may have adjusted the RAM's frequency, timings, and voltage in the BIOS. Even if you can't reach 3000MHz, you might be able to set it to DDR4-2933MHz.
