Currently I have 8Gb (2x4) Corsair Vengeance lpx 2400Mhz Cl16. Even though I can overclock it to 100% stable at 3000Mhz, is it feasible to purchase another kit of 8Gb but at 3000Mhz with the same CL, so all modules run at that speed?

Working with two kits together might require some overclocking. It could run at 3000, but at least 2800 is recommended. If you're comfortable with that pace, proceed.
