you just purchased three items from amazon—a new motherboard, a ryzen 5 5600x processor, and 8gb of ram. after installing the components, windows started working normally. when i checked task manager, it showed the ram speed as 2133mhz instead of the expected 3000mhz. i’m worried about adjusting the bios settings and didn’t notice any options for ram speed. anyone have advice on how to change it back to 3000mhz? thanks cpu: r5 5600x, motherboard: asus prime b450-plus, ram: corsair vengeance lpx 3000mhz 1x8gb.

Yes, I activated XMP or the corresponding setting in your board's BIOS.

Ensure DOCP is activated in the BIOS settings of your motherboard. However, you only have 1x8GB of RAM available. The single-channel configuration is limiting the performance of your Ryzen processor.

I previously had 8 GB of RAM, then I increased it by another 8 to reach 16 GB because the original amount was insufficient.
