I assisted my friend in setting up his computer online. During testing, the machine would power on and display CPU+RAM status on the debug lights. We experimented with various RAM setups. The system only powers up when there is a RAM stick installed in slot B2 (4th). If you need to resolve this after the PC is running, check whether the correct RAM is seated properly in slot B2 and ensure no other issues are preventing startup. Otherwise, verify the motherboard connections and power supply stability.

Understanding the full configuration is essential. The processor you're using, the exact RAM package, the BIOS version, the motherboard model, and other details matter. If it only functions in slot B2, likely the BIOS needs updating, the chip isn't seated correctly, or the board itself has a problem.

Run a BIOS update, then reset the CPU while checking for debris in the socket. If that doesn’t work, reach out to ASRock for suggestions, or proceed with replacing the motherboard.
