RAM issue with Corsair 3200 at 2133 MHz
I own a Ryzen 7 3700X with two 8GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro modules (CMW16GX4M2C3200C16W) on an Asus B450M-A motherboard. It’s currently defaulting to 2133 MHz, and I’m having trouble reaching 3200 MHz. When I enable DOCP and set the frequency to 3200, the system crashes. I just assembled the PC today and would really appreciate any advice to get it running smoothly at the higher speed. Thanks.
I've encountered both crashes at 3000 and 2933. You mentioned you've already found a fix for yourself.
I set it to 3200 MHz at 1.4V for the memory. It seems to function well. Check the voltage specifications for your RAM.
It makes sense, some XMPS models handle it at that level or above. I’ve seen it work with my motherboard, yours might differ. I wouldn’t push it higher; you could also be dealing with memory problems. B450/x470 boards did have memory issues, so it wouldn’t be unexpected if this affects performance.
