He might need to return the RAM if it doesn’t fit in the cooler. Otherwise, you could help him find a compatible cooler or suggest upgrading his setup.

What kind of RAM? 1. As mentioned before, you might consider increasing the fan speed, though it could affect the side panel if there isn’t enough room. 2. For RAM such as Crucial Ballistix, you can take off the top fins to create more space.

I'm checking it face-to-face now and would do it again if he hadn't fully removed the cooler. I'm swapping out the thermal paste and shifting the fan to the opposite side.

I might have. I clarified the reason in my previous message. The tops stay on. It's a corsair vengeance in RGB.
