When starting with RAM placed in the 2 or 4 slots (as recommended by the motherboard manual for dual-channel memory), the system launches but becomes stuck in a repeated startup cycle. In 2023, I faced frequent crashes on my three-year-old PC, accompanied by blue screens. Through some investigation, I discovered that one of the two Trident Z Neo 3600MHz 16GB DDR4 sticks was responsible for the instability. Deciding to use the warranty, I planned to replace it, but time ran out before the warranty ended. Now I’m using a single 16GB stick from the same kit. Recently, I purchased a Ripjaws V DDR4 3200MHz 32GB package to resolve the problem by swapping RAM, yet after installing both new sticks and testing different configurations—placing them in various slots—I still encountered boot loops. Only when RAM was in the first half slots did it start working; any stick in the 3/4 slots caused a loop.
Hardware issue detected or CPU memory controller problem. Test each slot separately using a single stick of RAM. This will assist in identifying potentially faulty dimming slots. Examine the slots closely. Use a magnifying glass for better visibility. Remove any debris if present. Consider borrowing a functional RAM pair from a friend or someone else. Inspect for bent CPU pins; reinsert the CPU if necessary. Reset BIOS settings and review the BIOS menu. Disable XMP features and verify dual-channel functionality without them. Run Memetest86 using a working configuration if possible. If the CPU or motherboard remains unresponsive, replacement is recommended. The PSU appears to be suitable only for budget builds; replacing it might be advisable if you can.
