Choose the desired frequency manually when using asrock or gigabyte boards. This process also applies to Asus and MSI, though they set the rated speed automatically when you opt for auto.

I've never encountered this before... My gigabyte functions properly in auto mode with the XMP profile.

It depends on the current version and requirements. If it's still running at 2133, a BIOS update might be necessary based on TofuHaroto's recommendations.
