Hi, I'm considering increasing my RAM to 32GB. Here are my thoughts:

1. Using all four memory slots doesn't really change things if you have two pairs—like Corsair Vengenace and Kingston Hyper X—so it's fine either way.
2. If the first point applies, should I use all four slots or just two? You could add another 8GB stick or replace the old ones with a 16GB pair. Your Ryzen 7 2700X and AsRock B450 Steel Legend are compatible.

For optimal performance, aim for matching modules in all four slots. If your needs vary, two different pairs may suffice. For example, a Corsair Vengenace with a Kingston Hyper X setup would work, though it won’t be ideal.

It seems your system only has a dual-channel setup, which means it can't utilize all four PCIe slots simultaneously. Using four slots might not be compatible with your current configuration.
