Hi there, I just bought this build for my fiancé's PC. I've assembled several machines before and know the process well. The setup I chose was something like this: Ryzen 3 3200G, AsRock B450M Pro, 16GB DDR4 2400MHz Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (I used it until I could get a dual-channel 3200MHz), an EVGA 400W PSU, and a 256GB Kingston A400 SSD. The assembly went smoothly and the PC started up eventually. But I had a couple of concerns. First, the stock cooler for the Ryzen 3200G seemed tough to install. I had to apply a lot of pressure to the screws so they would grip the bracket. Once they finally engaged, it worked fine. Second, I was wondering about the RAM slots—do both side clips open or just one? The manual says both do, but I couldn't get the other side to move despite my efforts. One clip opened easily, while the other wouldn't budge at all. When I inserted the RAM, I had to put almost all my weight on the board, and even then it didn’t snap in properly. I was pretty sure it was installed correctly once it finally clicked in. My question is, do these boards usually need a lot of force to get the RAM in? Or does the second side latch open, and I had to force it in without that opening? The manual mentioned both sides open, but I couldn’t make it swing open. Thanks a ton for your help!

Only one lock arm is present at one side. Yet during installation the device should produce a click at each connection point. It requires a bit of force to place it properly. This is typical.

It seems those AsRock boards with the single clip RAM were a bit confusing at first. Just slide the solid tab side of the RAM under the catch, then push it in from the other side while maintaining steady pressure along the entire stick.
