I'm trying to set up my MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk DDR4 system for dual RAM, but it's not working as expected. The specs are 13600k, 3060Ti, two 8GB 3600MHz sticks, and a 650W power supply. I placed both sticks in the A2 and B2 slots, but received a DRAM debug LED error each time. When I moved one stick to the A2 slot, the issue persisted. The system only accepted one stick in the B1 slot, regardless of which stick I used, suggesting a possible RAM compatibility problem. It also doesn't support XMP overdrive beyond its rated speed—maximum stable frequency is around 3200MHz at 1.35V before it refuses to boot. Even with XMP enabled, installing both sticks isn't possible. Adding a stick to the A1 slot while keeping the other in B1 still triggers the error. I've tried reseating the RAM multiple times and checked for bent pins, but none were found. I'm using an Arctic Liquid Freezer II AIO and believe the mounting backplate might be important; however, I'm unsure if that's the cause since the boot issue remains. The motherboard appears to be new, purchased from a trusted seller with no visible defects, and usage has been light. I've reset the CMOS once and haven't noticed any difference. No common fixes seem to work in forums. Could this indicate a faulty motherboard? I’d appreciate your advice and guidance on whether it might be defective, or if you recommend returning it soon.
