I’ve encountered issues with my computer’s RAM setup. I tried several fixes but realized I might have missed something. Eventually, I decided to use only two RAM modules in single-channel mode. The problem isn’t detailed here since I’ve posted about it before, but currently, I can only use the first two slots on my motherboard for RAM—either stick in either slot or both in those slots. With a 3700X CPU, dual-channel worked, though not at the rated speeds. Using a lower-end CPU (3200G) didn’t help on the original or the new one I installed. In MSI Dragon Center, the RAM sticks appear the same, but the XMP settings show different speeds. Could this be causing the issue? Should I consider returning the RAM set, or is it just due to using different XMP profiles when the sticks are separate?
