RAM configuration for this system featuring 3700x and b550
Ryzen 3700X is set up for B550 TUF gaming with a new motherboard. I have two 2x8 memory sets: HX432C16FB3K2 and CMK16GX4M2B3200C16. The Corsairs are already installed in the QVL slot. I want to know if I can add these memory modules and use a quad channel configuration, and if that works. Also, if not, which memory kit is recommended?
3700X doesn't allow Quad Channel. You'll be able to run four RAM modules in dual-channel mode. Yes, those four sticks work together because they match in speed and latency. If they didn't, the faster ones would slow down to match the slower one's performance.
DDR4 RAM operates at 2133/2400MHz by default. Higher speeds of 3200MHz can be achieved via overclocking. (DOCP / XMP)
