I'm checking if a 5900x setup works with an MSI X570 Tomahawk motherboard and comparing the G.skill Trident Z RGB and Crucial Ballistix RGB CL16 3600. Both are listed in the support memory section.

The G.Skill appears more polished, while the Crucial offers marginally improved timing. Actually, I use both simultaneously and they function seamlessly together under the G.Skill XMP profile.

Review the G.Skill compatibility chart, not the motherboard. Manufacturers only evaluate a limited range of kits, while G.Skill verifies all their parts across different boards. I own an x570 Tomahawk and a 5900X, running F4-3-6-0-0-C1-4-Q-3-TRST-B. Also, look into the secondary timings for those kits—CL16 can sit between 16-16-16-36 on the better boards, but may vary to 16-22-22-42 on the less reliable ones.
