Intel RAM compatibility is exceptional, making it hard to doubt its effectiveness. It's not due to Intel's superior memory controllers, but rather because the RAM is specifically built for their platforms. Remember, all RAM from the past ten years was designed for Intel systems. AMD didn't really matter until 2017. RAMs created before roughly 2019 were always intended for Intel hardware.

Thanks for the update. I’m curious about the BIOS settings—will enabling XMP raise the speed to 3000MHz or maybe 3200MHz?

BIOS will identify the XMP profile stored in the RAM chips. Just turn on XMP or pick the profile that aligns with the speeds.

The Z370 TUF board can perform RAM OC operations. If issues arise, simply reset the CMOS.

He originally had two 8GB RAM sticks, but one became faulty in August. Now he only has one 8GB stick, and the other is no longer covered by the store warranty. If I have spare RAM, I’d be happy to lend it if it works.

It depends entirely on whether your RAM is compatible with the system. If it works with Intel, it functions; otherwise, it doesn’t. It’s either built for Intel or it’s not.
