Hello, I'm experiencing an unusual issue where my RAM usage stays around 3 gigabytes even when I'm running tasks in Task Manager. However, my PC shows memory usage up to the tenth of a gigabyte, and if I leave it on for extended periods, it seems to consume all 16 gigabytes. I've searched online but haven't found much help. The quick solution is restarting the computer a few times, though that's not the best approach. I also tried closing some background processes, but nothing worked. Please let me know if you can assist.

Is the system showing excessive memory demand while sorting the top results doesn't match the actual performance?

It doesn't match what you expect, it's using about 2.5GB of RAM. But the real usage is around 7.4 (about 46%).

Are you checking? Until you begin accessing the filesystem, memory usage becomes irrelevant. Windows stores data in RAM to speed things up, so it grows over time, but only if needed, those items will be removed. Simply put, focus on usage only if you're actively paging.

However, the issue arises when performance drops significantly; my system becomes very slow, almost always. It seems my other applications aren't getting enough attention compared to the constant background process.
