I can find something better than a 4090/7950x. It’s not leaking. Right now I’m using 35.7GB and I haven’t started any games. I recommend at least 32GB, not 64GB, since my needs are quite high. I’ve reached up to 48GB before. Typically, that’s Chrome with over 200 tabs, Edge or Firefox with around 50-100, plus Photoshop and Lightroom. I still shut down Photoshop/Chrome if I open a game and it feels sluggish—I’m very sensitive to that. It still bothers me enough to restart the whole system occasionally...
It's a blend of both approaches; a compact setup often outshines a slower, more loosely timed one, especially with DDR5. Generally, focus on maximizing clock speed instead of worrying too much about precise timing details. When it comes to DDR5, prioritize higher clock rates and steer clear of overly flexible configurations. The 5600 CL36 seems to be the least desirable option I'd suggest purchasing. Your best choice will vary based on your specific hardware plans. For AM5 systems, a 5600 CL36 should suffice unless you're willing to invest more for better performance. AMD suggests around 6000 CL30 as an ideal balance, while Intel leans toward 6400 CL32 if you can afford it. These numbers mainly reflect timing compatibility rather than raw speed differences.
It appears your guidance was centered around equipping a gaming rig with 64GB RAM, which is quite ambitious. I’d probably need some clarification on your intended use case before offering further tailored advice.
