I'm planning to upgrade to a new RAM soon. My motherboard currently has 8GB, and I'm thinking about moving to 16GB. Would it be safe to install 16GB on an 8GB board, especially since my RAM is DDR3?

Your board is working well. If your setup doesn’t support it, it won’t start, but you can simply take out the extra stick and it should boot again. The change was made by the moderator to move the thread to the right forum section. Updated on December 30, 2021 by RockSolid1106
