Running three RAM sticks simultaneously could reduce performance due to memory controller congestion, especially if they aren't in dual-channel mode.

It suggests they'll operate in a single channel, which means a performance decrease relative to dual. The impact depends on whether you prioritize capacity or bandwidth.

It varies based on your setup. For high-end Intel systems with triple channel support, it would help. For older models with just dual channels, removing the third card or adding a compatible one is the best approach.

I've never seen anyone use three RAM sticks together. Make sure to check your motherboard manual.

I believe my motherboard isn’t compatible with quad channel, so I’ll need to purchase larger slots and replace them.

You don't need to adjust anything if you already have three sticks. Just add one more and it should work fine with dual channel.
