I noticed a rise in sales of AMD TR4 CPUs with various core counts—like 32 cores going from $2,500 to $2,990. Workstation GPUs such as Quadro RTX 8000 dropped from $9,600 to $12,199, and the Quadro GV100 increased from $16,000 to around $20,000. People are asking why this is happening, since it seems like expensive parts aren't becoming more affordable for everyone. It's disappointing.

3970x equals $1900... it jumps to $8900... then to $10600... using PCPP as a price site. That’s confusing—I’m not sure what you mean. Also, checking Australian pricing doesn’t match your figures either.

The prices they listed were completely unrealistic, with the most costly Quadro GV100 I found priced around 11,000.

For some reason people are panicking about shortage of hardware, but tbh pricing has stayed pretty nicely through this. And ive got no clue where he pulled those numbers.

For a second I thought maybe Australian Dollar pricing, but the 3970X is listed for 3800 AUD (PCPP) and I did not find the other items' pricing on PCPP or Amazon AU. So I join you in not being sure where these prices are coming from. But I do encourage OP to check price comparison website, or check something like camelcamelcamel to check Amazon historic pricing, to see for sure if this is an increase, or just a single case.

In my vicinity the prices remained fairly consistent. Fewer options available, but that's the situation. It's possible he'll clarify those figures, though I have no clue how.

In the US prices have jumped significantly. Motherboards have risen 20%, cases 20%, power supplies 20%, and DDR4 RAM 20%. Graphics cards are gaining value in both new and used markets, though the gains aren't uniform. Oddly, processors remain unchanged.

It refers to the specifications listed on Scorptec's website. The details include processor models, memory types, storage interfaces, and pricing information. The mention of "proof" suggests verification is needed, while the note about the 32-core configuration highlights a specific model choice. The reference to a price around $20k indicates a premium or high-end product.

This situation occurred before Covid-19 arrived. The motherboard seems to remain mostly unchanged. No significant shifts noticed in RAM costs either. This reflects what I observed during my time at PCPP. It appears you're comparing prices at just one store, even though several of the items on your list haven't changed much compared to other retailers.

Prices:
2920x = 750 AUD
2990x = 2649 AUD
2950x = 1148 AUD
