Typically people adjust the rain settings with a 3D table editor, modify the boot icon, and update the login screen background.

You can handle it manually using regedit plus some extra steps... The 3D tab editor seems a bit uncertain...

based on my own use, rainmeter feels quite simple. i removed it because i became bored with it.
