I really hope that link doesn't ask for msconfig. So many people made a mistake with it, and I usually just give a different tip instead.
How much does it stutter? Which drive is the game using? I'm not 100% sure how that matters. Does this mean Windows power modes, like a specific setting you have turned on? Or maybe an Nvidia power management mode? Or even just general power settings in Windows?
Every fifteen seconds or so since I started playing, my computer powers down on its own because of the hard drive and Windows settings.

My computer's graphics card is set to run at maximum speed, but it still slows down sometimes when I start over again with no other programs running.
