Looking for a racing sim setup for your dad, starting with a budget of about $1500. You're aiming for wheels that offer strong force feedback and compatibility with PS4, possibly expanding to PC and PS5 in the future. Need guidance on choosing the right components within those constraints.

With a $1500 budget for the wheel/pedal package, consider kits from https://fanatec.com/us-en/. They offer bases that fit PS/PC or Xbox/PC, letting you combine different components to suit your driving style. You won’t find a full direct drive system at this price, but you can build a great setup and upgrade later with a direct drive base if desired.

I'll examine those wheels and pedals closely.
