R9 3900X High Temp cooler available now in stock.
Hey everyone, I brought the R9 3900X a few days back and checked the CPU temps using HWmoniter and Ryzen Master. When the PC is idle, it reads around 45-55°C, and at full load it hits 90-95°C in the stock cooler. After installing the ASUS B450 TUF Gaming Plus BIOS, the CPU temperature comes up to 63-67°C, which is higher than expected. Is this normal or should I adjust something? Any tips on resolving this issue?
At 95°C the processor will reduce its speed to prevent overheating. This means performance drops because it’s getting too warm. The main choices are either increasing fan speed for extra cooling (though at this temperature it should already be operating at full capacity) or purchasing an aftermarket cooler. I’d definitely opt for a higher-quality cooler instead.
