Hi everyone, I've been working with my R9 3900X overclock lately. Auto-overlock wasn't high enough for the performance it could achieve (4GHz across all cores at peak load). I decided to try a manual overclock. I have a couple of questions I'm trying to figure out, as I don't find clear guidance online. This forum was really helpful before I started this project. My results so far are: 2 OC settings – one at 4.35 on both chipsets per core, and another at 4.425 on the first chip and 4.2 on the second. I mainly use it for gaming or heavy multitasking, and I'm trying to decide which setting is better for each. From what I understand, the second one should perform better in games but less so for productivity (it has a lower Cinebench score). I'm not sure yet. Thanks in advance, and have a great day!

It wouldn't surprise me if this wasn't accurate. Which GPU are you running? I'd like to review some performance comparisons between the two.

Yes, your setup is quite demanding. With a GTX 1080 and 1440p gaming, you're likely pushing the GPU limits while the CPU plays a smaller role.

Are you looking for games that include pre-made performance tests we can use for comparison?

Not having the app installed doesn't stop me from trying. Thanks a lot! I wasn't expecting such a big impact on performance. I'll share the results tomorrow if I remember.
