it doesn't matter if it's a 770 or 780 with an i5; the GPU handles all rendering. The game runs mainly on the CPU, so performance differences aren't due to graphics cards. With an i5 and GTX460, you could reach around 200fps at full settings.

Ok so OP just ignore all those people who have no idea what game they're talking about could you please say 1) what MC version 2) what java version 3) what GPU usage while in game 4) what CPU usage in game 5) maybe just post screenshots of afterburner and task manager if thats easier also make sure all windows updates are installed and your GPU drivers are the newest
