I just wanted to try some siege again after a while. As soon as the main menu appears, I get a black screen and the PC shuts down. No blue screen appears, and the fan speed stays normal—no sudden increase to 100%. It’s like pressing the power button. The Event Viewer shows "Kernel-Power." I ran AIDA64 stressing the whole system for 10 minutes, tested every 3DMark from FireStrike up, and played many other games without issues. I think the driver might be the issue. I updated it to the latest version, checked for chipset and driver updates, and reinstalled Siege. So far, I still don’t understand what’s wrong. My specs are: 5600 @4.65 GHz + 360mmAiO MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon 32GB 3600MHz DDR4 ASRock RX 6950XT Phantom Gaming OC Enermax Revolution D.F. 850W. Thanks for all the advice. Edit: Resolution is 1440p Ultra-Wide (3440x1440).

Remove the graphics driver completely and set up the most recent stable version available before the current one. Retry and inform us. Additionally, consider checking system resources on a different screen to better understand the problem.

Most experienced drivers face the same issues... Temperatures are typical, especially during quick loading in R6 Siege where it stays cool.

I didn't see any mention of fixing the game files. Did you attempt it recently?

Turn off your CPU OC settings, run another test. From what I've seen, CPU OCs can be tricky—they work well in simulations but may cause unexpected failures in certain games or programs.

It seems like a solid concept, as R6 consumes a lot of CPU power even though it doesn’t appear to be that demanding.

I attempted that but nothing changed... However, I just tested it in Vulcan and it functions properly, so I think I’m playing there now. The issue might actually be related to Siege itself... Update: dx11 is also working again... For some reason, starting the game once in Vulcan resolved it!

The more you doubt AnvilNext, the more doubts you'll encounter. The engine is a terrible mess. Apparently, the Vulkan version in Siege performs better than other Ubisoft titles, which might be a positive aspect.
